About the Center for Faculty Engagement

Mission

The Center for Faculty Engagement strives to support the integration of teaching, research, and service through the promotion of high-impact practices and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Promoting a holistic conceptualization of faculty work, the center seeks to foster a campus climate supportive of faculty excellence and engagement.

Where is the Center?

Founder's Hall, Rm 403. Feel free to schedule time with us for support. In addition, the Provost and several of our exceptional colleagues have provided copies of their tenure and promotion portfolios for review. Who are we?

  • Co-Director: Lisa Bunkowski, Ph.D., Ed.D. Dr. Bunkowski provides oversight to the center. She is a tenured Associate Professor in the Higher Education Leadership program.

  • Administrative Coordinator: Jason Douglas, M.Ed. Mr. Douglas provides administrative support to the Center and coordinates various Center activities, including managing Collaboratory.

Services and Programs:

  • Resources and evidence-based practices related to engaged and integrative practices

  • Collaboration with the University Library and the Warrior Center for Student Success to support your teaching and the success of your students 

  • Oversight and facilitation of ACUE Effective Teaching Practices Framework courses

  • High-Impact Practices & Student Success Faculty Fellowship Program and Support of High-Impact Practices

  • Administrative support for Collaboratory and our Community partner network

  • Support for faculty review processes, including Quality Matters (QM) internal peer reivew of courses

  • Support for the Scholarship on Teaching & Learning
