The University Library now has New Technology in the 1st Floor Study Rooms--the ClickShare Bluetooth Technology System! These new devices are compact and easy to use with your laptops via the built-in monitors in each of the 1st Floor Study Rooms.  

  • The ClickShare Buttons are available for checkout by current Texas A&M University-Central Texas students, faculty, and staff on a first come, first served basis. A current A&M-Central Texas ID must be presented at the time of checkout.
  • Media and technology must be returned in person to the Circulation Desk. You will be responsible for any damage incurred from the ClickShare being placed in the book drop or any other unsecured location.

Power ON

To turn on the system click the on button on the wall plate located to the right of the TV

Connecting a Laptop (PC or MAC)

Plug the button into an USB port on your device.

The drivers will automatically start to download.

Navigate to ‘My Computer.’

In the menu you should see a drive called ClickShare.

Double click on it and it should open like a flash drive

Run the program in the folder.

The button will then start to connect to the main device, indicated by a flashing white ring and a prompt will come up on your computer.

When it is connected the ring will turn a solid white.

Click the button on the button to start sharing your screen and audio!

Power Off

Disconnect the button from your laptop.

Press the off button located on the plate to the right of the TV.

Return the button to the library staff.

***Please be sure to turn off all equipment when you are done***
