WarriorConnect Access for Killeen Public Library Patrons

Killeen Public Library registers WarriorConnect users from the community. Patrons must be adults in good standing with the library, who have had a Killeen Public Library card for three months before becoming registered with WarriorConnect. 

Any participating library may request that you surrender your WarriorConnect registration. 

Eligibility for Killeen Public Library Users

  • The A&M-Central Texas University Library & Archives honors any WarriorConnect card with a valid issue and expiration date from the Killeen City Library System.
  • In order to be authorized to use the University Library, first-time guests to A&M-Central Texas will be required to present (a) the WarriorConnect Authorization Form given to them by Killeen Public Library, (b) a current official photo ID, and (c) an A&M-Central Texas Guest User Form. Upon initial authorization, they will only be required to present a valid ID before any circulation service can be provided.

NOTE: All Killeen Public Library WarriorConnect cards will expire June 15 of every year. Guests will be required to return to the Killeen Public Library and obtain a new authorization form annually.

WarriorConnect Circulation Policy

WarriorConnect users from Killeen Public Library are able to use A&M-Central Texas University Library Collections in accordance with the following guidelines.

  • General Collection Books, Audiobooks, Popular DVDs & Educational Resource Collection (ERC)
  • Up to 10 items checked out on their account 
  • 2 Renewals (in person or by phone)
  • Lending Periods:
    • DVDs-1 Week
    • Book/Audiobooks-2 Weeks
    • Educational Resource Collection (ERC)-1 Week
  • Materials Not Approved For Checkout:
    • Reserves
    • Course Reserves
    • Textbook Reserves
    • Academic Audiobooks/DVDs
    • Student Technology
    • Reference
    • Curriculum Textbook
  • Fines for Overdue Materials
    • 25¢ per day for Books/Audiobooks
    • $1.00 per day for DVDs
    • $1.00 per day for Curriculum Reserve Study Guides for Certification Exams 
    • No grace period

Library privileges will be revoked until fines are paid. Patrons will be contacted within two weeks of item(s) becoming past due. Books are declared lost at 30 days and replacement value of the item plus the fine will be owed.

WarriorConnect users will not be given access to TAMUCT electronic resources off campus. 

Your home library will be contacted within two weeks of an item becoming overdue. Your home library assumes responsibility for this fine if it is not paid, and will pursue various avenues to collection the amount owed.

For Killeen Public Library Patrons, this may include filing with Killeen City Courts. 

WarriorConnect Services

WarriorConnect users are able to take advantage of some services through TAMUCT. Services that are not listed here are unavailable to WarriorConnect users, including interlibrary loan and off campus use of electronic resources.  

Research Help

  • The Library offers research help face-to-face at the Reference Desk. 
  • Patrons may request appointments online. 
  • Users may also chat with a librarian for help. 
  • Research help is also available through email. 
  • The Library provides research guides, too. 

Group and Private Study Space

  • Study space located on the first floor may be reserved at the Circulation Desk. 
  • There are four study rooms on the first floor: 3 that fit 4 people and 1 that fits 6 people. 
  • Study space located on the second floor is first come, first serve.
  • There are 6 study rooms on the second floor that fit 4 people each.
  • Some study rooms contain group technology. 

Computers

  • Public use computers are available just inside the Library at bar height tables. 
  • These are the only computers available to the public.
  • Computers that comply to ADA height requirements are available by request. 

Copiers

  • A copier is located on the first floor of the library.
  • Users are charged $0.10 per page. 

Lamination

  • Lamination is available at the Circulation Desk. 
  • The Library charges $0.50 per linear foot. 

Die Cuts

  • The Library provides die cuts and a die cut machine.
  • Bring your own construction paper. 

Printing 

  • The Library offers both black and white and color printing
  • A card can be purchased for printing or patrons can pay with their credit or debit cards at the kiosk.

Binding

  • The Library offers binding at the Circulation Desk.

Live Research Help

TAMUCT Visitor Parking

TAMUCT visitors must park in visitor parking spaces, located in front of the Warrior Hall building. 

Visitors may also request a temporary parking permit at the Information Desk in Founder's Hall or the Public Safety Office (FH103).
