Children's Genre List for Teacher Education: Nonfiction Narrative

How to Search

Non-Fiction Narrative -- Or Narrative Nonfiction or Creative Nonfiction is writing that tells the facts of a story.  It gives information. These may include diaries, biographies, autobiographies, personal recollections, historical investigation to name a few.  You will need to use search terms like someone’s name or position (Roosevelt and/or president) or a word that describes an event or period that you want to find (disaster, earthquake, typhoon, etc.)  You may want to add the term “history” to your search.  If you have the name of the event, use that as your search term.
