Academy of Political Science
The Academy of Political Science (APS), founded in 1880, promotes objective, scholarly analyses of political, social, and economic issues. Through its conferences and publications, APS provides analysis and insight into both domestic and foreign policy issues.
The Academy's mission entails the continuation and broadening of the educational process. Its threefold aim is to:
•contribute to the scholarly examination of political institutions, programs and public policies;
•enrich political discourse and channel social science research in understandable ways to political leaders;
•educate members of the general public and help them to become more informed participants in the democratic process.
European Consortium for Politcal Research
The European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) is an independent, scholarly association, established in 1970. The ECPR supports and encourages the training, research and cross-national co-operation of political scientists throughout Europe and beyond through its programme of highly-regarded conferences and methods schools, funding opportunities and its prestigious publishing portfolio
International Political Science Association
The International Political Science Association (IPSA), founded under the auspices of United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1949, is an international scholarly association. Its objectives are to promote the advancement of political science through the collaboration of scholars in different parts of the world. It has consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and with UNESCO.
National Conference of Black Political Scientists
The National Conference of Black Political Scientists (NCOBPS) is a professional organization that was organized in 1969 at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to study, enhance, and promote the political aspirations of people of African descent, in the United States and through-out the world. It aims to contribute to the resolution of the many challenges that black people confront. Our organization promotes research in and critical analysis of topics usually overlooked and/or marginalized in political science scholarship.
Southwestern Political Science Association
The Southwestern Political Science Association (SWPSA) is an affiliate of the Southwestern Social Science Association, which also has affiliates in economics, history, international affairs, sociology, social work, and a women's caucus.
Western Political Science Association
The Western Social Science Association (WSSA) is committed to multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary scholarship, service, and collegiality. The WSSA advances scholarship, teaching, service and professional exchange across the social science disciplines.
