Study Rooms

Texas A&M University Central Texas library has 10 study rooms available during library hours. Library patrons may reserve study rooms on the first floor of the university library. Reservations may be made up to one month in advance through self-booking, assistance at the circulation desk, or by phone at (254) 519-5798. Reservation time may not exceed 4 hours. The occupant may extend their existing reservation if there are no reservations after their existing time slot.

When placing a reservation, patrons agree to the following guidelines:

  • Patrons can make their own reservations by using the "Book a Study Room" option on the library homepage. They can also request help with room booking at the circulation desk.
  • Patrons with reservations should check in upon arriving. For self-service check in, look for the room confirmation code, which was sent to the email address provided at the time of the booking. Alternately, a staff member at the circulation desk can also check patrons in at the time of arrival, if requested.
  • If a check in does not occur within the first half-hour of the reservation period, the room may become available for others on a first-come, first-served basis for the remainder of the reservation period.
  • Please maintain a moderate noise level that does not disturb others in adjoining rooms or outside the rooms.
  • Patrons must clean up after themselves and leave the room in good condition for the next users.
  • Vacate study rooms 10 minutes before building closing time.
  • Study rooms are not intended to provide privacy. Library staff may enter the rooms as needed for security, maintenance, or other issues.
  • Children and service animals may not be left alone in study rooms at any time.
  • Patrons are responsible for personal property. Don't leave items unattended. The Library is not liable for loss/damage to personal property.

Patrons may use the second floor study rooms on a first-come, first-served basis. During the winter break, spring break, and interim periods all study rooms will be first-come, first-served.
