E-Reserves for Students

E-reserves are online materials that faculty members have asked the library to make available to students. The library reviews this material to make sure it is in copyright and accessibility compliance. We then provide a secure way for students in the specified course to access the materials.

If your professor has placed material on reserve electronically, they will provide the password, if there is one, and an access link for you. Only students in the designated course may access e-reserve materials.

E-reserve material can only be accessed during the length of the associated course. Access to the e-reserves page for a course is discontinued at the end of the semester during which the course is taught. Students who receive an incomplete must contact the library if access to e-reserve material from prior semesters is required.

Faculty Members: Please visit our e-reserve request form to place a request for electronic course materials. Please submit e-reserve requests at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the semester or two weeks before students will need access to the readings.

Textbooks

The University Library collects one copy of each textbook used in an A&M-Central Texas course. These textbooks are available for four-hour checkouts, and cannot leave the University Library in Warrior Hall. Textbooks are purchased, as funding allows, using the bookstore's textbook list, which is published several weeks before the start of the new semester. Books that are late additions to courses may not be purchased in a timely manner, and will be late to arrive. These textbooks are located behind the circulation desk.

For information about the library's K-12 textbook collection, please visit our textbook webpage

Physical Reserves

The physical reserves are items placed on reserve by faculty members, located behind the circulation desk. Library staff retrieve materials for patron checkout. Faculty may place high demand class-related materials (pamphlets, books, tests, video, etc.) on reserve for restricted loan periods. The length of the loan is at the discretion of the instructor.

Faculty Members: To place a physical item on reserve, email the library at library@tamuct.edu for assistance.
